Details On November 28, 2005, the American Heart Association
with the Irish Heart Foundation announced new guidelines for
performing CPR and the use of your automated external defibrillator
(AED) on patients experiencing cardiac arrest.
After the 1st July 2006 all defibrillators and training should be
updated. The new “Guidelines 2005” affect the way treatment is delivered
using your AED. The Irish Heart Foundation will only be teaching the
new updated guidelines.
As the way CPR and using a defibrillator are now different you may
wish to have your group retained. This is not a requirement from the
Irish Heart Foundation.
You
can contact us by return to arrange training or just to have your unit
updated. Just let us know.
